Routes
There are many varied routes for all abilities that we can offer here at Wheely Good, these include.....
- Leanachan Loop
Starting on gentle forest trails we will head out into Leanachn Forest where you will pass through a beautiful pine forest. This trip is for anyone that would like to try mountain biking perhaps for the first time or would maybe just like to take a leisurely guided trip through the forest and try out some of the easier sections of single track along the way. Our Guides will show you all of the skills necessary for mountain biking in a safe & controlled environment with some optional extra bits to test out your new skills.
- Cour Trail
This beautiful& scenic route starting at Nevis Range ski area, takes you into the depths of Leanachan Forest where you will get a different view of the mountains. Starting on forest roads you will climb up steadily onto the old small gauge railway line that was created & used to transport materials for building dams by British Alcan (now free of track and disused of course!). Once on this path you will pass through beautiful pine & birch forests until descending by the side of the river Cour for 10km riding your bike down the single track and stopping occasionally to take in the views of the majestic Grey Corries.
- Witch's Trail
Follow in tyre treads of the world’s best riders on this infamous UCI World Cup cross country route. Challenging uphill sections with breathtaking views of the North Face of Ben Nevis, Fort William & Loch Linnhe, steep & testing stone pitched downhill, drop off’s north shore style bridges & more. Some prior mountain biking experience is necessary for this trail.
